Golden Years

In 1506, Leonardo was invited by the French King, Louis XII to travel to Milan.  Here the French Viceroy treated Leonardo with an extreme amount of kindness.  While in Milan, Leonardo met with Francisco Melzi, who ended up being his one of his constant companion, all the way until, is death.  Leonardo, began to do the most impressive anatomical studies ever.  He made around 120 books with human anatomy drawings.  Leonardo Da Vinci made his last will on April 23, 1519.  In this will he commended his soul to God.  He also left all of his artistic and scientific work to Francisco Melzi.  At the age of 67, on May 2, 1519, Leonardo died.
